Directions to River Terrace NORC: do not use GPS
BY SUBWAY: Take the #1 train to 157th Street. Walk south to 156th street and then walk west till you come to Riverside Drive. You can cross to the other side of Riverside Drive when able, and then stay to the right, looping around the corner until you come to the street along the river, which is Riverside Drive West. Then walk north past one building till you come to a red brick building with blue awning. That’s 156-20 Riverside Drive West. There are two sides to the building (but only one entrance), hence two addresses in front. The security guard will let you in, and we will be in the South Community Room.
BY CAR: From Broadway and 158th Street, you will be going west toward the Hudson River. Take 158th Street west to Riverside Drive (about a block) and make a left onto Riverside Drive. The intersection is a little tricky, you drive all the way into the middle of the intersection and make a left turn where you see the stately tall apartment buildings.
Take that for a block or 2, around the bend and stay to the right. You will come to Riverside Drive West, along the River, and you make a right. The building is just a few in (on the right) opposite the Hudson River, and has a blue awning and terraces.
