    Naomi Goldberg Haas – Artistic Director

    Naomi Goldberg Haas is a dancer, master teacher, choreographer and founding artistic director of Dances For A Variable Population (DVP). With DVP, Ms. Goldberg Haas has created site-related public performances at many of NYC’s most iconic public spaces including Times Square, Washington Square Park, the Whitehall Ferry Terminal, and the High Line. She also leads DVP’s education programs, including the organization’s free community-based dance workshops that have served over 5,000 seniors at 45 senior centers since 2009.

  • Navarra Novy-Williams - Executive Director

    Navarra Novy-Williams is a passionate arts leader with extensive experience in dance, movement education, development, programming, and community engagement. Formerly the Programming and Development Director at GALLIM, she’s also had an international performing career includes Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Batsheva Ensemble, Cedar Lake, and The Metropolitan Opera Ballet. A dedicated teacher of Gaga, ballet, and creative movement, she has taught at NYU, SUNY Purchase, Sarah Lawrence College, and DVP, et.al., and is deeply committed to access, inclusion, and intergenerational arts engagement. She holds a BFA from Juilliard and an MA from The New School

    Miriam Grill - Program and Events Manager

    Miriam Grill has an international background in dance, theater, and arts administration. A Lindy Hop dancer for 20+ years, she’s toured workshops and won competitions across North America and Asia. She holds a Masters in Theatre Directing from Columbia University and has directed shows worldwide, including the award-winning film Heirloom starring Norm Lewis. Miriam produced the first AI piece at Sundance Film Festival, Frankenstein AI, and was a movement consultant for the Cirque du Soleil show The House of Dancing Waters in Macau. She’s worked on over 10 Broadway shows, founded a university theater department in China, and currently runs community outreach at La MaMa Theatre. She's also a professor at CUNY where shes won the Excellence in Teaching award twice.

    Matthew Dameron - Communication Manager

    Matthew Dameron serves as the Communications & Programs Manager at Dances for a Variable Population. In this role, he oversees external communications, digital content creation and strategy, and program outreach, working to expand visibility and engagement across key initiatives and programs, including Movement Speaks® and Revival. With a background in media production and event management, Matthew is dedicated to advancing DVP’s mission of promoting inclusion, creativity, and wellness through dance for older adults and communities across New York City.

    Bryanna Dean - Operations Associate

    Bryanna Dean is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer who was born and raised in Shenandoah, Virginia. She began studying dance at a recreational studio at age nine. Since that young age, teaching and creating movement became a clear path at which she follows with eager curiosity. Dean gained her BFA degree in Dance at Florida State University where she has created work as well as taught in the Tallahassee region. Dean is now exploring the art community of her new home in Brooklyn. Along with working with DVP, she teaches jazz, contemporary, and gymnastics to young artists at studios throughout the area.
